Venice in the Rain

venice in the rain

I love Venice. When I visited some years ago I slept in a bedroom with shadows of moving water reflected on the ceiling. It seemed I was in a room where illusion was interconnected with reality. It was a summer night, windows open. Sounds from the city echoed softly around the room. I was living in a world of my own making and fell asleep to dream of ancient cities and people I did not know. No wonder I love Venice.
