Bush Fires in Australia

Last week in Australia.

Many parts of Australia had record high temperatures and catastrophic bush fire conditions in country areas. This photograph is of one of the many homes lost. Luckily there has been no loss of human life. But two firefighters collapsed and died on the job. I don’t know what these brave men died from but they were heroic in the full meaning of the word. Fire Authority and community announcements on social media, television and radio no doubt saved many lives. Our wildlife suffered, cattle and sheep died, homes, property and fencing were destroyed but local communities all rallied to help. I am proud to be Australian.
